Part of our property is "below the road" and over the years we've accumulated enough junk to furnish another house - refrigerator, stove, cabinets, toilets, TVs, and most recently some vinyl siding. A couple of times we have come to the bottom of the driveway and seen a vehicle over in the wide spot (the county conveniently widened the road to make it easy for people to dump their trash). We usually wait until they finally leave. I'm sure they came back and dumped the stuff later, but at least we made it a bit more inconvenient for them. I went to Germany about 10 years ago and the first thing I noticed was how clean everything was. People over there just don't throw their trash all over the road. And it's not just poor people. I was behind a late-model Cadillac not long ago when out of its window came flying a large McDonald's bag full of trash, which of course exploded on impact and was strewn across the highway. I guess it just proves that money can't buy class.
