Living in the Belly of the Beast -- And Surviving Well
Not to worry. We're fine.
The magnitude and impact of the fires though is too close. I feel for friends who are not as lucky.

We had some horrible wildfires about seven years ago, here in Colorado. We were close enough to watch the water filled planes fly to fires, and close enough to breathe the smoke when the wind was right, but thankfully too far away for evacuation. We did almost have to leave because of the smoke. The twins would take their toy airplanes, dunk them in the wading pool and put out their pretend fires in the sandbox. I remember thinking how weird it was that children work out so much in play.
Stay safe!
Aren't kids great?
The planes that do the drops really are amazing.
Thanks.
